Collection joaillerie 2023 - 2024

‘Ten years ago, when I launched my first jewellery collection, I chose the theme of the bestiary,’ explains the Toulouse-based designer. ‘A decade later, it was natural for me to come full circle by returning to my first love with a different stylistic approach, one that is both more voluptuous and more naive.’ With the exception of the snake, a recurring motif in the history of jewellery, Marc Deloche wanted to highlight animals that rarely appear in jewellery, such as the toucan, crab, turtle, owl, fish and bee. ‘I selected them because they all have elements, whether in their shape or colour, that allow for immediate identification and thus permit a less figurative and more abstract stylistic treatment,’ says the jeweller.
To bring them to life, Marc Deloche worked almost exclusively with his favourite model, the ring – ‘the only piece of jewellery that looks at the woman’ – in yellow gold or platinum set with diamonds and decorated with lacquer in different colours. ‘I designed this bestiary as finger comforters to protect and comfort those who wear them,’ he concludes. Two cuffs in yellow gold and polymethyl methacrylate complete this collection number 10.
